Who can take the TR-YÖS exam in 2026?

As your YÖS Advisor, we explain who is eligible to apply for the TR-YÖS 2026 exam. TR-YÖS is a centralized exam organized for foreign students who wish to pursue university education in Turkey, and the application requirements are determined based on the applicants’ educational background and citizenship status.

The following individuals are eligible to apply for TR-YÖS 2026:

Foreign Students: Candidates who are not citizens of the Republic of Turkey and have graduated from a high school or equivalent educational institution.

High School Graduates and Equivalent Diploma Holders: Candidates applying for TR-YÖS must have completed high school or be about to complete it by 2026.

Internationally Recognized Documents: Students can apply for the exam with their high school diploma or equivalent documents obtained in their own countries.
